The most amazing sunrise of my life! (so far)

I got up at about 5:00am. Was ready by about 5:30. Heard a knock on my door. It was Xandy. I rushed out with toothbrush in my mouth & gestured I'll be out in a minute. We took our bikes out of the hotel. Cho Cho was waiting for us outside. He came all the way from New Bagan super early just to take us out to a good sunrise spot. The air was nice & cool. After short introductions, we followed Cho Cho into the darkness.

Highlights: The pictures will do all the talking. The scenery was breathtaking!
Cast of Characters: Xandy the older Austrian journalist with insane travel stories, Cho-Cho the random local stranger who offered to be my tour guide. I just met both of them day before. I'm so glad they did not turn out to be psycho killers, lol.
Logistics/ Links: Ancientbagan.com seems to be a very good site. Here's the link for my perfect sunset hunt day 1, day 2, day 3.
When: I went mid-Feb, 2012. It gets hot during the day. Early morning is definitely the best time to go exploring the temples. The whole place is just a dust bowl in the afternoons with all the tourist buses roaming about. I did a horse cart ride the first day then bike rides the following days. Horse cart is my favorite.
Location: Cho Cho took us to this place along Anawrahta road. It was right by the archaeological museum. I think the temple is called Min-Kyen-tho or something. It sounds like Nintendo but starts with Min. It was a small-ish temple. There were a few people gathered at the top. Its tricky to find good sunrise/ sunset spots because a lot of the temples are closed. So many different preferences on what kind of views are good also.
Cost: The bike rental was like $2/ day.
Trip Report: I love architecture so this is just a dream to me. The whole scenery looks straight out of a fairy tale book. This is a land far far away in another place & time. It is beautiful! There's something about the way light hits the land of Myanmar that just gives it this beautiful glow. I may be romanticizing the place too much but if you go there, you'll see its true.

I love all the colors!

As the sun rose, all the colors gradually change. I love how the valley looks like its burning in the next few shots.

Bagan is a dream! It is beautiful!
